Unexpected Offers for the port of Piraeus
Impressive and unexpected were proved the bids that placed Cosco and Hutchison for the competition of concession of new Station of Containers of P.P.A. (Piraeus Port Authority S.A.) in Athens, Greece. The €4,3b of Cosco and the €4,06b of Hutchison were not only above each expectation, according to Greek M.M.M. (Ministry of Mercantile Marine) Mr. Giorgos Boulgarakis, but classify the offer as one of the largest offers that has ever been proposed in the world for concession of harbour stations. |
